ACIII Web Access - VZ

I'm having the worst time trying to access my ACIII over the internet. I'd like to think I know a few things about computers and my home network but this thing has been whipping my butt for a few days. Therefore I must be missing something stupid. I started off trying the default port 80 but it seems Verizon is blocking incoming stuff so to keep things simple I just changed my ACIII to a different port.

Currently my ACIII is set to port 3074. I've set up port forwarding on my router to forward 3074 to 192.168.15.40. I type 192.168.15.40:3074 (Address for ACIII) into my browser window and I get prompted to login. I change out the private ip for my public IP 70.x.x.x:3074 and I get nothing. grrrrrrrrrrrr

I've tried forwarding the port on two different model verizon routers and according to the tool I downloaded from portforward.com the routers are forwarding the port. I also went to canyouseeme.org and verified that 3074 can be seen. I'm kinda thinking I may have something jacked up in my controller but that does not make sense cause I can access it fine over my private network. ramble ramble ramble. I can go on and on. If anybody has any words of wisdom I'd appreciate the help.

I'm going to finish my  and go to bed

Try checking the AC3 Gateway setting. It should be the same as your router's IP.

Btw, every time you make a change on your AC3 net settings, you need to do a Net->Net Setup->Restart to have the changes take effect.

Thanks I read through that thread earlier this week. I don't have FIOS but DSL. Although the steps should be similar. I'll read through that thread again and start from scratch. I already have a dyndns account and a no-ip account but I must have missed something.

Hurray it works

Hurray it works

I got it working, funny thing is it was probably working the whole time. When I typed my public ip in the browser along with the port I forwarded it would not work. If I left the port information off and just used the IP it sent me to my router configuration page. Same thing happened with my dyndns address too. I saw some posts in another thread saying to make sure I had remote administration disabled. I verified that was off like 10 tens and even reset my router to default. I finally realized I needed to test my connection from outside of my home network.

I ended up going to a proxy site and testing the connection from there. I was able to pull up my ACIII page from the proxy :D. Just in case somebody else searches this I used proxvade.com/ to test my connection.
