AcJr. and ATO question

I have an AcJr. and would like to add an ATO. I have read that you can add a float switch to the serial port. My question is that is there a way to add 2 float switches, one as a backup, or would it just be better to buy a complete ATO system and not mess with hooking it up to my controller? Or do they sell an ATO setup for the AcJr.? Or would 1 float switch in the sump be good enough? Thank you!!

You can wire the 2 float switches in series so if 1 sticks on the other can still break the circuit and shut of.
