I'm wanting to get a frogfish. One of my freinds has one and is willing to sell me it for $40. It is about the size of a quarter around. He has had it for about a month and hes wanting to change his aquarium back to a reef.
He feeds it guppies and red dollies(fresh water), because it only eats live foods. A guy at my LFS said that this can eventually kill them because it screws up there digestive system. So I was wondering if you aclimate red dollies, guppies, or ghost shrimp to saltwater if that would eliminate the digestive thing.
Foods I've Looked into: Live mysid shrimp($100 from LFS), Saltwater feeder shrimp($29+$20 for SH from drfostersmith.com).
The aclimating thing would be the best if it will work and not harm the frogfish.
