Aclimating SPS from ALK extremes

I'm coming from Zeovit where I ran my ALK around 6.5-7dkh. Now I'm running a ATS system. I'm finding that many people that don't carbon dose run there ALk around 10dkh. Well knowing that SPS doesn't like ALK changes. What are you suppost to do and or do you do? If the SPS that you buy comes from a system with it 4 points from where you maintan yours?

I wonder if a drip acclimation is good enough. I know I read on brs that you are not supposed to raise more then 1 pt per 24 hours.

When my tank was first set up my dkh was around the 10.5 mark and I had no problem introducing sps to my system. I now have it down to more acceptable (in my opinion) levels of 8dkh. I would watch the real touchy sps like echinatas and soft tissue sps. This is just my experience with this very same issue.

Unfortunately there really isn't a easy way to acclimate them. I never really had any issues buying random sps from different kept tanks and from Live Aquaria etc. I feel that they make it either way. I've always floated them to temperature, dip them and place them in the tank.
