Acro colony slowly dieing. please help

I have a large blue tort acro colony that is dieing from the bottom up. my lfs told me I need more current, so I bought a vortech mp40. I love it but the acro still seems to be loosing tissue from the bottom. all other sps are growing nicely. any suggestions?

frag it before you lose it all.

what are your water parameters? I agree with Mike, frag it and give a frag to a friend to see if it does any better in their tank.

alk 8 to 10 dkh, cal 440 to 460 temp 78 salinity 1.025. I keep my metal halides on for 5 hours a day. do u think that's long enough?
