I have had some in the past, lost them when I treated for red bugs a while back. They dont really need any special care, they will get food suspended in the water when you feed. They will protect their acro from bad fish. Mine never caused any issues with my acros.
I have a bandit acro crab that came in on a DD coral over a year ago. The coral died but the crab just moved into another coral. It is now with that coral in another tank and still doing good. When I feed the tank you can see it trying to reach for food as it floats by. Very cool and yes no damage to the corals.
I have an opportunity to get one from my cousins lfs that came on an acro he ordered. It would be free or really cheap. I'm just not sure if it is smart to put it in my tank. Most of my acros are large frags or small colonies. I did a search and like I said most feedback was positive. I just like hearing fresh feedback from experienced hobbyists...thanks for input.
I have three of them. The older have over 3 years now.
Keep acros clean of debris and food ans even clear from AEFW. I friend of mine with we are helping get rid of those things have only three acros that don't had any AEFW on it. The three that have acro grabs on it.
what do they look like i had one come on a coral and i removed it i thought it would eat the coral mine has ghosty looking eyes its claws are black tipped it has been in my sump a month
I had one, kinda small and hairy....lil guy was eating my ultimate stag...he was really hard to catch too. It took a while to notice what he was doing, come to find out he just wasnt hanging out. Literally ate the tip of my stag.

build a trap then, my suggestion is :
- put a transparent cup glass or a jar
- put some bait in the bottom of it (I use clam meat)
- put the glass or jar with 45 degrees and facing the acro that host the nasty crab
(it works in my tank at night and I could catch 2 - 3 in the morning) I hope it'll help you
P.S. : is not works if you have a shrimp, because the shrimp will take the bait first. :twitch:
