I started dosing amino acid and I noticed that the next day of have some browning of the Acro tips. I thought that this was most likely due to my alk but Alk has been in the range of 8.3 to 8.5. I dont think a 0.2 swing will cause browning of the tips.
I wonder if there is something to do with the amino acid or if this is just a red herring for another issue. I turned my LED lights down the other day thinking they might be the cause of brown tips. I have a very nice colony of red dragon I am afraid of loosing. It started showing brown spots on the growth tips and I see some browning of the body. I wonder if the decrease in light is what did it. I also changed the setting on my vortech pumps from reef crest to tidal swell
I am doing a good water change. Not sure what the heck is going on here.
