Acro Eating Flatworms

Guys,

Some of you guys might have remembered a few weeks back that my system was infected with AEFW parasites.

Here's just an update...

I dosed my system with 3x the recommended amount of Flatworm Exit.
Actively cleaned infected corals from eggs and flatworms everyday.
Did a second treatment with 3x the recommended amount of Flatworm Exit again.
Still cleaned off and seek out flatworms and eggs.

It's been approx. almost 3 weeks today. I have not seen any evidence of a flatworm or eggs at all. I will be doing my 3rd and final treatment later on today. I'll keep everyone updated on how my system is in 3-4 months.

Thanks
Allen

Raskal311 -- I found 2 flatworms after first treatment...after the second i haven't seen any yet.

dymaxiun -- I don't have hard fact proof...but so far so good...the difference is the concentration amount.

Well that is great news.. you should post your results in the SPS froum, because I know they have had some pretty in-depth testing of different chemicals to treat those things. I know they did try Flatwork eXit, but not sure of the concentrations.

Another thing is they QT'd the corals that were affected, and used some magical coctail with a process that took a few days to a week. Just an FYI... If i fond the post i'll PM you...

If you find the post you are refering to, could you please PM me as well? My tank doesn't have flatworms and I want to keep it that way.

Thanks,
Jared
