I have a ORA blue voodoo under t5 lighting that is doing well, but started to slime from the tips about a week ago. Now I think there is hair algae growing from those same tips. Color is good and PE is good, but I am wondering if its not getting enough flow and that is why it was sliming/algae growing on the tips. The tank is only about 3 months old and I had a nusiance algae problem from not cleaning sponges in my skimmer and return pump but that has been taken care of and my ember blenny is hitting the hair algae which is already in recession. A month ago I dosed a little too much alk that put my hynophora into STN though he is starting to come back that may also have contributed to the acro sliming.
My question is should I mess with the acro since its still doing well for the most part while I make sure to tackle the remaining nutrient problem, or just leave it?
