Someone on here mentioned this the other day and I thought it was a good theory.
STN from the tips results in high AlK/CA where the nutrients in the tank are too low to produce enough flesh or keep what is there alive to cover the fast growing skeleton. At least that is how I understood it. Perhaps they could chime in.
Perhaps lower ALK if greater than 8 or raise nutrients n03.
Alk would be a typical issue here but the pic is pretty clear from the angle it's taken the Alk is not the issue here.
Like mentioned above use a razor just make sure they don't blow around. Take a turkey baster and suck em up after cutting or your take will have em all over the place. You could use super glue to cover em or Kalk paste and slap it over em. Or mover the Acro and leave em be LOL.
