well was at inland aquatics last weekend

they treat for red bugs and acro nudis with at 20sec -1 min dip in cold ro water

did it to my whole tank bro.. sounds scary i know but i'd rather freak a coral out and lose a little color that lose the whole colony all together. I'm telling you those buggers are rutheless. I'm glad i'm rid of them now.

To be honest i just used tap water which was plenty cold... It doesn't necessarily have to be cold... but saying cold ensures that no one will use hot! (you never know) i had a guy clean his protein skimmer in his dishwasher once! RO would be better than tap of course but again i said honestly. :)

Acro nudis? Is that a new pest we have to worry about or did you mean flat worms?

So no interceptor or pig wormer? Just dip acros in my straight from the tap RO water for 1 minute to be rid of the pests?

It will knock the FW's off the coral but it doesn't touvch the eggs..you either need to scrape them off or throw away the base that has the eggs on it. I fragged out all my corals with egg covered bases and tossed the infected areas. not sure about the monti thing. the FW's don't bother the monti's so never bothered dipping them.

The only reason I mentioned it is that somebody using the search tool to find info on getting rid of monti nudis might read this and decide to try the FW dip on their monti's too.
