In boxing day I bought 2x PAR38 at a good price, to add them to my 4x54w T5HO light fixture. Thinking I did a good deal, money and extra light, I placed one over my SPS island and the other over my zoapaly island.
Started gradually. 1h/day for 1week, 2h/d for 1w, 3h/d for 1w.
Yesterday I noticed my purple bonsay, humilis acro, millepora, forest fire digitata, had very nice colors, very bright colors and all polyps were out.
But, the yellow acropora and blue acropora are bleached on the side facing the par38.
I removed the extra light right away, feeling bad I put them in the first place. :headwalls:
My zoas are growing better than never with extra light, but my sps are bleaching.
Will they colonize the bleached area again? What can I do the speed their recovery? Are these acro more light sensitive?
