acropora carduus Vs. Encrusting cyphastrea

I have a meteor shower that is a fast grower that also happens to be a few inches away from where I am wanting to place a Red Dragon.

Do I need to worry about this I figure the meteor shower should be in contact with the RD in a few months, do I need to consider killing off the meteor shower? I want this section of the tank for the Red dragon.

Cyphastrea can be very aggressive. I would relocate it. I have one that invaded a colony of zoos and is literally growing up the stalks and strangulating them!
