Acropora Damage/Question

I have recently put in an Acropora colony in my jbj 28 gal HQI (phoenix bulb). I have not cemented it into its final location and on the first night in the tank, it fell over onto my cup coral (pagoda). The tip that landed there is now white and no polyps remain. My question is this: Do I take a pair of sheers and snip that end off? or is this unrelated to a coral stinging another and perhaps something else. it's been in the tank about a week now and the rest of it looks good. I am a newbie to SPS and not sure about cutting damaged or diseased portions off. thanks for your help guys!:bounce2::hammer:

I would snip the end. Often times algae will begin to grow on exposed skeleton which can be unsightful.

No way, dont snip it. Often the corals will recover and eventually it will grow over anyway. If it causes a problem later snip it then. If you got it quick then it may recover anyway.
