Acropora vs Pocillopora

Hi, Is it posible to maintain an Acropora and a Pocilopora near each other??, what happen if they touched each other while are growing??

I have a wild colony, very small one, it's a long rock, where the Poci is on the top and the Acro on the bottom.
When it arrived the poci was 1.5" long "frag" and the Acro was 2" diameter, now they grew, stinging each other abit, no real damage, the Poci is growing upwords while the Acro growth is sideways.
