I bought this as as a frag a few years back for $5 since it was a ugly brown color. I had it for a few years in a 65gal with T5 lighting and it was a dark green, but my 65 crashed. It bleached out and almost died after that but I was able to save pieces of it in my 40galB I had set up just before the 65 crashed. Anyways now that it is in the 180 with a DIY LED fixture all the new growth is changing color. Now its new growth is more of a purplish color with bight highlighter yellow tips. Its been cool seeing this come back to life with all the new colors. Another thing that is wild is I have a few pieces of this exact coral in a few different places and it is a different color in the different places. In one of the places where I placed it lower in the tank, it is still the dark color and in another where it is closer to the top, it is a bright yellowish green. So does anyone know what kind it might be. This picture is under a white and red blue green channel with all other blue channels off so it doesn't do it justice as far as its bright colors. But you can see the base is still the close to the green color it started out as.
