acropora's and a valentini puffer

I am looking to add a few acro's to my reef tank.

I have a small valentini puffer who doesn't go anywhere near any of my current corals (softies/lps/sps) but I have been warned that it might 'eat' any acropora's....and as they are not cheap should I not bother.

Any thoughts please.
