I would say they are not compatible.
SHs are capable of dealing with more flow than they are generally given credit for, and there are certainly methods where you could meet the needs of both species in one tank, however, I personally think it is not a good idea. I see at least three problems: The SHs will likely decide the sps is a great place to hitch, which will stress the sps and likely lead to its demise. Two, most of the time, an sps tank is not set up with the SHs needs in mind first... and in almost all cases I know of, it will lead to the SHs eventually doing poorly. Three, SHs are messy, meaning that maintaining the super-low nutrient environment that makes sps tanks thrive will be very difficult.
Can it be done? Sure. But my bet is that one of the two species will meet an untimely demise, and my money is on the sps.
Lighiting is a non-issue IME, especially if you have caves and the like where the SHs can get out of it if they desire.
