ACROS April Meeting

The April ACROS meeting will be a joint one with SWFMAS and will held at Mote. Below is the text taken from the SWFMAS website.

"OK, we will get a behind the scenes tour on Sunday April 20. We need to meet in the parking lot at MOTE Marine at 8:45 a.m. The aquarium opens at 10. This gives us a one hour tour before the aquarium opens to the public. Our tour guide will be Shawn Garner. He is one of the aquarists there. He has also agreed to speak at a future meeting regarding Mote Marines captive seahorse breeding program.

I need a head count no later than April 5 to advance order tickets. Price will be $12/adults and $10/children.

ACROS has been invited for this tour as well. So, we should get to meet up with some of our salt water buddies from the Sarsota area on that day as well."

Probably not. I did not ask that question when I was talking to the ticketing people. May want to call to double check.

Hello everyone! I'm Shawn Garner, I will be giving the tour on the 20th. The kids should really like it, I'm doing a lot of seahorse reproduction, clownfish spawning, and jelly reproduction as well.
Also, I may have the kids feed the stingrays as well.
We will have to see what everyone wants to see and do.

Just to clarify. This trip/meeting is open to all. If you have a membership or sponsorship with MOTE, any discount or passes will apply for this trip. No extra fees above and beyond what would normally apply.
