I'm looking forward to that....I'm wanting to construct a box for my SLR camera, is that considered a "look down box" ??? If so, can I offer up some dimensions to possibly have one built as an example for a camera ???

Yes, that would be considered a look down box.

Unfortunately, I have already purchased the acrylic for the look down boxes we are going to build. But if you want, post the dimensions and I will try to make it work with some scrap I have and then we can also raffle it off.

Howdy "an-sps"!

The dimensions of my DSL are approximately 6" wide by 5" tall. Without a lens it's 3" thick, with a 18-55mm lens its 6" thick. With a 100mm macro its almost 9" from the tip of the lens to the back of the camera. (viewing screen)

Not exactly sure how everything works on a look down box, my frag tank is 3/4" acrylic which is probably what I would use it for since my DTs are 1/2" glass and I assume the box could be quickly modified to fit a thinner material.

Regardless of what can or can't be built during the meeting, I'm looking forward to melting some 'lic..... :-)
