As the title reads. I'm thinking about downsizing my tank along with getting one that fits the room of this house (versus our old house) better.

Does anyone have any experience with this business or heard anything? They are relatively new but everything looks positive.

Anyone?

I called him once about a frag tank.. Seemed pretty strait forward .. 3-4 weeks out .. And was happy to help you design what ever it is you need ... If your looking for acrylic call Steve at aquatica ... He's been great and helped me a bunch ... Much more local and great people.. ..price basically the same..

If you'd like to check out a custom 180 I had him do for me, you're free to stop up and check it out.

Here's my build thread with a couple photos of the tank.

The guy was great to deal with and actually had the tank done a week early. He does it out of his garage/house, but when I was there he had a bunch of tanks he just built for a store in upstate NY he was getting ready to deliver.

Cost was significantly less than anyone local which is why I went with him. I'm happy with the quality of the finished product. I did have one slight issue with the overflow box being 100% sealed to the back, but a little weld-on resolved that issue.

Steve built my 240 display, Frag tank, Sump and accessories does great work and priced better than anyone I have come across.

Thank you for the feedback. That is extremely helpful. Looks like we will all have around the same sized tank from him.

Yea I wanted to go with Steve as I have a few other acrylic items he's done for me, but to upgrade to 3/4" acrylic set the price about double what Acrylic Creations charged me.

I can tell you I have had 3 large frag tanks built by Dave. They are 72x24x12 zero issues. I just had him build me a 60x22x18 sump and lids for all the tanks. O.K. I can tell you this I have known him for a year or so. He does great work. I know here are other builders more local for some of you.But I think it would be hard to beat his tanks. He is fully insured. I live in Slippery Rock. I would have no issues with you guys stopping down and looking at these show pieces. He's a good honest guy thats a family man.

Greg over at aquatic technology is building acrylic tanks now also. I have seen several and they look very well done.

If you want to see the kind of tanks he builds I have one at the store now. Its a 60 gallon its done very well. I also have 2 sumps that he has made for the store they are both over 150 gallon sumps. I also had him build my frag tanks at the other store they were 84x24x12 I had 6 of them. I never had an issue I even dropped one once from about 3 feet and had no effect on it at all. I was just down there the other day he now has a C n C machine and the tanks are nicer now than they have every been. I good honest buy that will give you a real price on a tank not change the price like I have run into the past on custom made tanks. He is also fully insured which I really like.

I had him quote me a custom cube, it was about $300 cheaper than anyone, and it would be exactly what I want with no modifications needed. Great guy, and prompt at answering questions.

I have a tank and a sump from them, sump has seams opening everywhere and it's actually leaking. Its being replaced soon. The tank has air pockets in the seam and it worries me but I can't replace it. Tons of sharp edges to the point where I cut myself all the time. Besides that it's nice.

I got my tank from GEO, since he's 30 minutes from columbus it was a no brainer to me. We all know how well built his equipment is, well my 240 gallon cube is right on par with what you'd expect from him. :D
Plus it's nice to support local business and my friend
