Questions:

How challenging would it be to make a 30" cube with false back wall, for first try?

And any idea in costs of materials?

depending on if the tank is rimless or not makes difference in price.for a tank that size if it is eurobraced,then 1/2" should work fine,if you go rimless then you would need 1" thick.sheet prices are going crazy with rising oil prices,1/2"x8'x4' is approx $400+/sheet and for 1"x8'x4' approx $800+/sheet
