hey-
I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience working with acrylic? I would like to eventually build my own sump and would appreciate the guidance (and use of tools if possible...lol). i think this would be a great meeting topic and hands on activity!

that idea has been tossed around before....and some of us have some experience with acrylic. However, that would take a ton of time to do and is better suited to a seperate activity.
I built my own sump with acrylic. It wasn't difficult, but takes time. The only main piece of equipment that would be needed is a table saw with a fresh fine tooth blade
I am building one for BradA in vermont I just had to order more weldon 3 and the only way I could get it was with a 50$ min order so I will have an extra pint and an aplicator bottle...
Just days ago I just finished building my own 40 gallon acrylic sump. It wasn't difficult with the right tools. Feel free to PM me. I'd be willing to show you in person as well.
