Acrylic question

Quick question. I have some bubbles in the synergy reef seam. This would be the time to address it before I set up the tank.

Just ordered Weldon 16 via amazon.

Here's the question. Should I just run a bead along the seam or should I glue in some square acrylic rod?

Tried searching, but found mixed advice. Thanks in advance.

The strip would be the belt and suspenders approach. The 16 should be fine. When I had my doser container made there were a few bubbles and when I pointed them out the builder just rand a bead of 16. Are they the sump seams or baffle seams?

Thanks Danny. They are actually on the sump seams along the rear, in two spots. I wouldn't have noticed had it not been for painting the inside of the stand today. I was so bummed.

I had PM'd the folks at synergy a couple of weeks ago about the bowing and he replied that the sump had been a custom order and it was ordered without a top brace. Said they no longer build them that way...

I'll snap a pic and post it up tomorrow.

Your best bet if it's not going to be viewable and you're not worried about Aesthetics would be to use the square rod with weld on 4 that will give you the most strength ..... you're not worried so much about a leak at the moment but what you dont want to worry about is that seam pulling apart..... I would use the square rod and give it strength the weld on 16 will not provide much strength although it could fix a small leak it's not going to provide long-term strength
