Acrylic Scratches

I use sandpaper to good effect, start off with some wet/dry 600 grit, a spray bottle with a couple drops of dish soap in it, and a few beers (for you), spray down the area you would like to remove the scratches from, and use a palm sander. Keeping the surface wet, slowly work the sander around the scratches, after it looks like the scratch (or scratches) are underneath the cloudy area, step up to 800 grit, 1000, 1200, and finally 2000. with each step up, go over the previously sanded area about a 1/4 inch, the final step is to use a buffing wheel and a compound to buff it clear. make sure you don't try and "dig" out the scratches with the sander corners, this will leave pits in the surface,....should take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of your time, per area of scratch removal. Good luck, hope that helps ya...
