I bought a used 135 gallon acrylic. The tank is empty and I am going to remove scratches before set-up. How much should I be concerned about scratches on the inside, or when filled will most on the fine scratched not be visible?
I have scraches on the inside of my tank from cleaning with a credit card and you can see them all no matter how fine they are. I would remove all that you can before you put water in.
you need to be very concerned. sand and polish out scratches
before you fill tank. if you think they look bad now wait till
its filled with water.RC has a DIY on this or contact a local
acryilc store. you can do this. takes time. once you get the
hang of it. not so bad. dbr
