The canopy weighs 250 lbs and is sitting on the tank on 8 Easy sliders (plastic tabs- 2 inch diameter). Is this too much weight for the acrylic? Should i attach it to the ceiling? The tank is 96x48x30. Here is a pic....
I have now hung it from the same hooks as the light rack is hanging from and it is elevated about a 1/4" off the tank. So, the plan is once the cable sags a bit- it will barely be resting on the tank. Anyone see any problems with this method? Feedback would be appreciated as it is my first time dealing with a tank this size.
