acrylic tank

Midwest customs was great on my 250g and sump as well. great customer service, great build quality, great prices and great shipping rates!

Let me chime in on this one...
I searched over 50 different tank manufacturers, and got 50 different quotes from $1,600.-$13,500. (for the same tank. I finally went directly to a builder:
Norman E. Roberts
Innovative Plastics, Inc
800-356-4265
innovative@iserv.net

3443 Highland Drive
Hudsonville, MI 49426

Great quote, and very communicative!
Give him a try...

P.S. Not all "Tank builders" are actual builders. This place: Innovative plastics, received requests for my unique tank from at least 10 other places that same week...

I sent you a pm. Did you go with the acrylic thickness he recommended? Whay made you chose Midwest Customs?

I went with Midwest for many reasons...
Build Quality,
Lead times,
customer service,
Shipping costs,
Total costs,

The owner was very easy to work with and accomadate my exact specifications for my DT as well as my sump. he also was albe to make a few last minute changes as well. The buils was very well, seams were near perfect in general on all of them.

His prices were basically inline or a bit cheaper than everyone else out there, shipping was abit cheaper than most, and lead time (at that time) was about 1/2 of everyone else.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again!

As far as thickness I went with mostly on past experiences as well as with his recomendations. I went with 3/4" body as to have no deflections and went with 1/2 for the bottomand top eurobrtace to save some costs. He assured me that the 1/2 was more than sufficient for my sized tank. He also radiused any edges that the tank would be accessed from to make it very confortable for maintenence and can would polish or radius any viewed edges if wanted as well. He pretty much could do any option you would want! All at a great price and quality.

As for the PM, I will se what i can get you pic wise,
