Acrylic thickness for

a 6 foot by 18" x 18" acrylic?

I am debating an upgrade.

using my 40 as a sump and getting a big tank.

it calculates to a 100 gallon tank.

is that big enough for 1 yellow tang, 1 blue tang, 1 royal gramma and 2 clownfish?

minimal rock too just enough for hiding and sleeping

and no its really not big enough..
blue tang needs a BIG tank.. 180+
Now drop that fish and you are good to go

1/2" braced should be acceptable, but putting 3/4 on the sides would not cost that much more and you could reduce the bracing a bit.

I want 0 braces. Ill even go to 1" if i have to, but i might do 3/4 all around

Hmm - my guess is probably 1" for rimless. The 6' length is going to be the gotcha, I think. Throw it onto the Acrylic fabrication thread and see what Floyd has to say...
