Acrylic Tubes

has anyone worked with Acrylic Tubes, i am thinking in buying a couple of these for a couple of DIY reactors... do they bond well with PVC, can they be drilled, any special tools I need?

Bonded to PVC yes. and drilled Yes.

it depends if you get cast or extruded......extruded is cheap and it don't bond very good without crazing and such. and has a tendency to crack when drilled if not very carefull......cast very expensive but alot easyier to use for drilling joining etc.....both can be joined to pvc thou with the right solvent's/glue......

where do you buy acrylic tubes?

mc'masters ebay tap plastic's there is a ton of places just google acrylic tubes........if you can afford it i would recommend the cast........it is a million times easier to work with........ecspeccialy for people not fimiliar with it.....i have seen people down to the last hole and crack!!!!!! BUY ANOTHER ONE AND START OVER......you will end up paying the same in the long run if you use extrudded imo.........small stuff is okay like reactors it has plenty of strength for it but the gluing/welding sucks no where near as nice as cast.......and drilling is very delicate........

To find the tubing, the first thing I always suggest is to check your yellow pages for plastics sheet/rod and give them a call.
