acrylic vs. glass 180 gallon tank

Hi everyone! thanks for all your help!

I am setting up a 180 gallon.

glass is cheaper, but heavy.

what do you think about acrylic? Is it too easy to scratch?

Will it yellow with halide lights?

it is much stronger than glass.

Go with glass!!! I was able to move my 180 by myself, not easy but I did. Acrylic scratches way too easy, I know I had one. For me, I would go acrylic if it took more than 4 people to carry glass. However, you may have more friends than I do.

I am partial to glass because it is easier to maintain. It is really preference as there are advantages and disadvantages to both.

I think since 180's are mass produced it makes more since to go with glass. If it was 220 or larger then you may want to go with acrylic.
