Acrylic ?

First post! only took me 4 yrs.

I have the opportunity to buy a 42" cube(practically) but the center overflow has been covered and sealed with a 1/2" piece of acrylic. How difficult is it if possible to remove said seal?

Are you saying someone siliconed a piece of acrylic over the hole in the glass? should be pretty easy to get up provided you can get in there to work, I think that will be your biggest hindrance. In this situation, depending on surface area and size of the hole, you may be able to simply push up through the hole. Also may be able to get a razor up in there through the hole if it's largeish. If they glued acrylic onto an acrylic overflow with acrylic solvent cement, you're talking about cutting the acrylic.

You could try a hole saw is its bonded...

Make sure you brace the back of the acrylic as you are drilling
