Will aquarium silcone work to glue a acrylic baffle into a glass sump? Or over time will it not hold the acrylic against the glass?

it will hold the glass in place but won't adhere to it

It will adhere to the glass and barely stick to the acrylic. You need to sand the edges where the acrylic meets silicone.

Yeah, it can hold a baflle, but it probably won't be very water tight and definitely won't be able to hold much pressure.

I had a 20 gallon long that I used as a ref/sump. I siliconed the walls of acrylic to the glass and held for 2 yrs. Still holding to this day after I sold it.
