I've reduced my dkh to 7.5 recently and have been battle low ph since. My calcium rx further lowers during its on cycle. I'd like to add a buffer stage to my rx to bring the ph up. Does anyone have any 4-6in. acrylic tube that they would be willing to sell? I could use up to 26in length.

acrylic is way too expensive these days...i have a stack of 6" but need it all to make them into full reactors. the thumbscrews i orderd have been on backorder for weeks now, and i can't fully design the lid until i have them so i know what size keyholes they'll need...

since it's just a second stage, it can really be as simple as sitting a 2-liter coke bottle filled with media in your sump and cramming the effluent line down it. or pvc if you want it a little nicer. or make it square from sheet acrylic.


why the low alk? i gotta run mine at 12 to get my tank to sing. every time i try to run 8 like the germans do, my tank goes to crap. my current problem is i haven't been able to stay on top of manual supps enough to get and keep my numbers that high...

i've started the zeo system. They recommend this range. My corals look great, I just can't run my calc rx as long as I like because I have it programmed to shut off when tank ph drops below 7.85. I don't want to go much lower than this. I think a litermeter and stouter kalk rx is my next order.
