Actinic shots

Hi y'all,

I have a D5000 and can usually find a setting that works to take a good picture for what I am doing, but I am having a heck of a time taking a shot under actinics that does reality justice.

Any help with some starting point camera settings for taking decent shots under actinics?

manual - shoot RAW - tinker with white balance. Post if you're having issues. A lot easier to help if we can see what the issue is.
