Activated Carbon Recommendations?

I recently started running carbon 24/7 and was wondering if there may be something better than Kent Marine Reef Carbon. Has anyone had experience with Kent's carbon and found another that they liked better? If so, what was the reason?

I also want to make sure not to get the type that will leach phosphates (I know carbon will leach anything it straps if kept in the system too long).

I usually never run carbon in my tank and was against 24/7, but as something new I am trying out "Iwan's method" w/Prodibio I have been running Kent's carbon in my system for about about 3 weeks and will need to replace it very soon.

Black Diamond brand was the name consistently recommended to me when I started looking at carbon. I can't compare it to anything else since this is the only brand I have used.

ESV Granular Activated Carbon, Hands down the best. There was a study done on activated carbon and this one came out the best. I will see if I can find the study and list the link. Also, at a good price if you purchase the 4lbs size. Check it out on Marinedepot. Maybe Rob or one of our LFSs can stock it.

Thanks for the responses! I think I'll give Seachem a try after I've used up the rest of the Kent brand that I have. I've done a little research with the brands everyone has responded with and from what I have found on RC, Seachem and Black Diamond are highly recommended over other brands for various reasons.

There just as many opinions as there are brands seems like. I've heard good things about black diamond but I don't trust the source.
