Add yellow tang now or later?

75 gallon

Tank has a pair of clowns right now. Would it be safe to add a small yellow tang now or would I have issues with aggressiveness adding other fish in the future? Thanks!

I think a 75 gallon is a bit small for the yellow tang as they are a little more aggressive. A tomini or bristletooth tang would be better suited for that size :thumbsup:

And they'd probably appreciate more swimming room. Kole tang is always the recommendation for a 75 gallon tang. There are some others in that genus also.

What type of clowns? I agree with the other 2 posters on the yellow either way but if they are a couple of fully grown maroon clowns there might be problems with a kole tang as well...

Tominis are beautiful. And you can get a canary wrasse for your bright yellow.

Get it later they get nasty, I had one kill multiple Sargassum Triggerfish. IMO it should be the last fish added.
