So i added a smaller B/W clownfish to my existing Clownfish. The existing was an Occ, LFS told me the b/w was also occ so. As i read on the internet of ppl using a clear hamster ball to put the new one in and put in tank. Plenty of holes for water flow. So i bought a small hamster ball and have the new smaller b/w clown in the tank right now. My existing clown hasnt gone near the ball. Shes staying on opposite side of tank. Maybe because its new? Im going to give it a while and see how it pans out.

It said to do this for a while so they can see each other and what not. How long should i wait to let the new one into the tank without ball??

Well i released the b/w from the ball and so far so good. Fed tank and everyone swimming along together. Lets hope it stays that way.

Hmm, I just threw my clown in and hoped for the best. The little guy eventually won the big bad female over. She did manage to kill the last one though. I didn't have netting over the tank before and she chased him until he jumped out.

Ocellaris clowns are usually sold as juvis. As long as both are not sexually mature (most likely mature females), they should be fine. If you have a single clown, of about any species, that is fiercely guarding a territory; that's when you have to be careful. Years ago, before I knew better, I had a grown female maroon. I wanted to add another and it was killed while still floating in the LFS bag.
