Just got my Starry Blenny put in the DT. He is big, friendly, and just loves to watch what's going on in the room.

Here is a picture of the little bugger:

These are such great little fish. I wish I could have one, but my Kole tang won't tolerate one. :-(

One of my favorite fish!

I too have noticed my Kole tang (he's usually very laid back) occasionally chasing the starry blenny if they run into each other. Nothing serious, but it helps that I have a 180 with a decent amount of rock work.

This guy has just been destroying the algae in the tank. He is a hungry monster! Any tips on what to feed him after the algae runs out? He isn't eating any of the flakes or mysis I am putting in for the clowns...

I love my starry blenny. I like the way he changes his color patterns like a starry chameleon. My large BTA's host him and he is always saying hi to the clowns and mandarin. My lawnmower blenny though is an assasin and killed my 6 line wrasse, sea hare, and blue spotted jawfish. So the starry blenny is my choice

Try algae wafers. Place one in an area he normally grazes. I shouldn't take long for him to sample it and then he'll be hooked. :)

I use Nori to supplement my blenny's diet. I love to see him laying on the rocks at night to sleep. He lounges on them, like my dogs on the couch.

My starry blenny eats Nori from the veggie clip. He holds his own even as the tangs eat Nori aggressively. If the veggie clip doesn't work at first, try to soak the Nori in garlic, and rubber band it on a rock.

I had one of these fish, he was great what a little character. I use forzen broccoli ispears to feed my tangs. I trim the end and place it in my food clip. He used to sit on top of the broccoli to ward off other intruders. It didn't work but he was one COOl fish!!
