Roger: Quick question for you. I just added a new 6000 about 3 weeks ago on a magnet mount in my 120. It had a slight noise at first but was fairly quiet (similar to a 6060 I also have). Anyways so the 6000 was quiet and on 100% with no controller for like 3 weeks. Last night I bought and added a 7091 single controller. I have it set to 30% = 100% at about a 3 second pulse.
When it switches speeds at the slow speed it has a definate fairly loud noise I never heard before. It always has a low hum but when it is fast the noise clears up but then when it slows down it is like a loud slow hum.
Does it just need to break in with the controller at the slower speed? It sounds normal at the fast speed, it is just when it switches speed that it gets loud.
Any help would be appreciated.
