Adding a 2nd Centropyge aurantia (Golden angel)

I have a beautiful, thriving golden angel in a 90 and have the chance to purchase another.

Does anyone know if they are likely to get along?

i did this recently, i had a female and added a male, the female attacked the male a little bit for a day or so then was fine. I then added a third (very small female) and the large male killed it in a few days.

** i am assuming sex based on size only, and could very easily be mistaken

Ummm, I don't necessarily agree here. I would be interested in the other tank occupants and the age of the tank before making a call. If the tank is too crowded, then I would not recommend it due to their skitty nature when first introduced to a tank. Considering the tank size, you have to, have to use an acclimation box. Let me know.

its a 90 gallon running for ~2 years with a fair amount of live rock. The only inhabitants are a diamond goby, a hologymnosus rhodontus, and the golden angel. There is currently 0 aggression in the system.

btw, the potential new one is about the same size as the one I currently have,

Dont do it, if you do go ahead make sure you put in acclimating box or seperate the tank, but i would not recomend it. If you want to try get either a larger one or a MUCH smaller one.

Would need to be smaller; otherwise you run the risk of having two males and that would cause problems in a tank that size. The fact that I had two males is why I have a pair in each tank now.

I had a 3in one and added a 3.5in and they paired, then when i added a 2inch one the 3.5incher killed it.....

You can never be sure with centro's.
