adding a DI stage / unit to a RO sytem??

Im getting an older 3 or 4 stage RO unit from a friend. Will it be possible to add a DI unit to it? If so anyone know who sells them?
will the DI part help with the water quality??

Depending on how old this unit is you may need to replace all of the filters and membrane. If thats the case then I would just buy a new ro/di unit. You can pick up decent units off ebay for around $100. Do a ebay search for filterdirect.

Oh and yes the DI helps improve the water quality.

You can plumb a canister after the RO membrane. You can get it here...

Then you can either put in a DI cartridge or a refillable DI cartridge that you refill with bulk resin (much cheaper in the long run)...
