Adding a new clown with a tomato

Hi All,
I'm thinking of adding another clown to the aquarium. Its a 60g aquarium with 4BTAs and one carpet. the largest BTA is hosted by a tomato clown, about 2 inches long. Now, i've tried to add a false perc in hopes it would host either the carpet or one of the other three BTA's but no luck. They fought over that one BTA and sooner the false perc died from the fighting and stress.

I was wondering if anyone has had success/issues in trying to add another clown to an aquarium with an already established clown. Thanks for the help.

You cannot/should not add another clownfish of a different species. It is no surprise that the tomato killed the ocellaris clown. Tomatoes are among the most aggressive of clownfish. Your best/only viable option is to add a juvenile tomato clownfish in hopes of forming a pair.

Damn, that sucks. Thanks for the heads up on that one. Good thing i didnt go ahead and buy that false perc yesterday and instead asked this question first.

I was just hoping the false perc would hose one of the other 4 nems in the tank, but i guess thats not going to happen. Thanks again.

Hey no problem, its good you asked before you purchased the other clownfish. Tomatoes are cool clownfish and I would try to pair her up with a juvenile tomato clown. You will find clownfish to be much more interesting (more aggressive though) as a mated pair.
