adding angels

Ok I currently have a reef tank. I really like Large Angels. Now I know there not reef safe although I have actually seen it done so many times. Now why is it that they are not reef safe?? is it that they kill fish?? SPS corals?? LPS corals??? soft corals???

My reef tank only has a few corals.

Lots of Pulsating xenia, a huge leather toadstool, a hammer coral and a frogspawn. So all my corals are either softies or LPS but the LPS I have are all like soft flowing LPS. Do the angels actually pick at the soft tentacles of these corals??? or are they known for nipping at like SPS corals????

they are known for eating soft corals like some of the stuff in you tank, and also they will nip at LPS too. It you felt daring, you could try adding a pigmy angle, like the coral beauty, which might not actually nip at corals.

it depends on the fish. some people can keep large angels in there reef tank with no prolbem others cant.

if you do want to try it i would start with a juvenile that would be your best bet
