Adding another Angel

Some of you guys have had some really good luck mixing angels together, so I need your opinion. My first angel was a Flame, then added a Swallowtail. I wanted to give the Swallowtail a partner, so I added a female. Long story short, didn't work. So, what do you think about adding a Potter's angel?

Good timing! I just recently added a Potters angel to an established Flame and Juvenile in do Regal. I never would have thought it but my baby regal is ussually the PIA with new additions . In this case, I had my Potters in QT for a month before introduction. I did not treat , just observed and made sure he was eating and had his strength before entering the display. When introduced to the display he was first put into a modded critter cage suspended in the tank. As expected the Regal was the first to posture around the cage. That lasted for only about 2 has off and on. I think think the Flame checked him out once the whole day. So after one day I released him into the display. If anything the newly acquired Potters is the aggressor but only when they meet in a tight spot of the display. I guess all this means if you have enough space the Potters will definitely hold his own as long as its a healthy specimen with enough space for them to get out of each others way.

This is in a 180? Correct? Space is very important factor. My display is 270 gal. With 4 angels 2 being centropyge.

Exactly. However a good acclimation process, as described above, will make life a whole lot easier.

Correct a 180. The swallowtail is the biggest fish so far, about 5". I might have to try an acclimation box.

If you do, and I highly recommend it, allow one complete day in the box, letting the fish being acclimated out just before lights out.

What happened with female swallowtail? Removed?
You should have used the acclimation box for the introduction of that fish! The male might have calmed down after a few days.

IMO/E, the potters is not an easy fish to acclimate/keep... Even if they are eating, they may suddenly die in a few months

At first he was ok with her, then as time went on (after the first day), he went after her constantly. I put him in the sump for almost a week and moved the rock around. But no sooner had I put him back in the display, he was on her. She wouldn't even come out to eat. I had then decided to return her the next day but unfortunately when I got home from work she had died.:(
