adding another tomato

I currently have a well established tomato clown that has never been paired and is currently hosting in a BTA. It keeps excavating a spot in the sand bed directly underneath the rocks the nem is perched on like its getting things ready to try to spawn. Whats the prognosis for adding a smaller juvi tomato? From what i've read pairing and existing clown with a new one is a toss up at best.. What are the odds of it going well to it going all wrong and the established clown killing the new one?

Can't tell you the odds, since each clown is different. Once you are ready to introduce the smaller one, I would put it in a little breeder/betta box inside the tank. That we they can see each other but the new one is still safe. I would wait at least 24 hours before releasing it, wait longer if the existing clown is being overly aggressive.

I agree with Toddrtrex, I kept one in for 2 months to make sure that they were no aggressive feelings and they have been pair up for almost 3 years now.
