Guys I wanted to know what you guys think is the best approach to doing this. I've found a fellow reefer who, has some great live rock tonga kaeilini . It's been in his tank for over 3 years but he took the tank down and has had the rock in a 50lb container and, and I really like the rock how should I go about adding it to my running tank? I'm sure of no hitchhikers am I allowed to add I to my running tank since its already cured? Thanks a lot

As long as it's cured and been in his system your fine. I just added 50 #'s to my tank. Just wrap it in newspaper and get it moist for the travel. Does the container have a heater and circulation? And how long has it been out of his tank?

if he took the rock out of the system and sitting in buckets then most likely its got lots of die off. if buckets are temp controlled and water has movement like powerhead or skimmer the die off is minimum.
my guess is by just reading ur post is that if rock is just sitting in buckets then u need to cure it or introduce a few pieces at a time to ur system over several weeks.

I want to get about 20 more pounds because I already have 60 lbs in my 72 gal bowfront. Is that too much to introduce as once. Just 2 clowns in it

if the rock is with heater and powerheads then it most likely still cycled. u can add it to ur tank. just on safe side u can add 5 pounds every few days.

Dont mean to high jack ur thread but does it matter if theres not a heater if u have live rock with in water with power head?

heater meaning if temp is kept in safe zone 76-82. u can have a powerhead in a bucket sitting out in 32F thats wont keep bacteria alive.
