Just a question about liverock I currently have 150 lbs liverock in my tank and have had it 2 years. My tank is a 75. I would like to add more to my tank so I can get my corals closer to my t5 lighting. I was wondering when i get new liverock is there stuff i need to watch for? If i add more could it destroy or crash my current tank?

you should just buy dead rock. it wont take long for it to become live since your tank is already established.

Adding dry rock in your case would be the easiest way to do it. However, I would caution you on the "dead" rock...if it has excessive amounts of old algae, dead inverts, etc...it may cause a nitrate spike. I would acid wash the rock first, rinse well and let dry overnight before adding it to your tank. JMO

What i would do is get dead rock and stick it in bucket or a container for a couple weeks with a heater and power head, do water changes ever week and test until parameters go to zero. and if the rock has been dead and dry for a while it shouldn't take long. This would be the best bet if you dont want the ugly looking dry rock.
