Adding Melanurus in my reef.. compatible?

So I have a 1.5 yr old pair of yellow wrasses in my 150G, and want to add a Melanurus. Anyone see any issues with this? He's currently in a 150G with a single yellow and I am taking that as a good sign.

Anything obvious I'm missing? Obviously each fish is different, but thoughts?

So there are three yellows in question? 1 in one tank and 2 in the other? If so, you should be fine, yellows are such friendly fish and wrasses of different species usually get along. I would be more worried if you were adding one yellow with another yellow!

Well no sorry if my description was bad. The Melanurus is currently residing with a yellow wrasse. I am picking him up and he will be living now with just a pair of yellows. My initial thought was he did well with a yellow, and my yellows are friendly, so we should be good.

Maybe a simplistic view, but I'm hoping all goes well. They are both beautiful fish.

You should be fine. H. chrysus is a very friendly Halichoeres species. Adding a melanurus should not present a problem.
