I have been running my 30g reef tank for a little over a year now with a clown fish, a chromis, and a helfrichi firefish. I have a number of invertebrates: 2 cleaner shrimp, 5 sexy shrimp, 3 hermit crabs, a porcelain crab, a conch, 2 pom pom crabs, and a variety of snails. I also have some LPS corals and zooanthids. Things are going well and everyone is happy, healthy, and getting along. Recently, I have been considering adding some more fish and I would love some advice. Here is what I'm thinking:
1 fish swimming in the water column: mccosker's fairy wrasse, yellow assessor, coral beauty or royal gramma
1 bottom dwelling fish: shrimp and goby pair or lawnmower blenny or mandarin dragonette (seeded copepods in fuge and tank a year ago added boosters every 3 months, have materials to culture phytoplankton + copepods)
A few things: I love active fish, sand bed is only 1 inch currently, I have a 20g sump + fuge, I kind of would like a herbivore, my three fish now stay in the water column
Any concerns? Experiences? Which are most fun to keep? Thoughts? Other options I should consider?
